| cutest baby EVER.     see?!?!? i cannot believe she will be a year old in July....time has FLOWN. i have to say, i really don't know what we ever did in life without her! kids DO change your life, in more ways than you can ever know....until you have one of your own  feeling quite happy and full of love these days. happy holiday weekend all! <3 | | |
| it's been a while...but i've been a bit busy 
i'm back to work but only part time now that ella is here. she's 4 months old now and is getting bigger and more fun every day! i've tried getting her out in the stroller lately due to the nice weather...because I know it won't last long!
lots of changes from last year....we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary and i cannot believe that ryan has been in his job for almost a year now. this year we will be entering the holiday's as a family of three. basically, we are loving being parents and life just tends to keep getting better and better.

| sometimes i just watch her sleep. i can't help it, she's perfect. i cannot believe she is a little part of me and ryan. wow. it gets better to be a mom each day!

although it's rare to catch this, we do have some pictures with her eyes open
time really does fly, she's already a month old! i'm soaking up every moment, even the late night/early morning ones. for the past three nights she's slept from 10/11pm until 6 am. i consider it a nice thing...but realistically it won't last. i'm sure i'll be up again tonight a time or two!
it really is an amazing thing to have her fall asleep on my chest or when she opens those great big eyes just to look me right in the face. simply awesome

Our little girl has arrived! Ryan and I are proud to announce that Ella Grace was born on Tuesday, July 14th at 8 lbs and 20 inches long. I'm so thrilled she came exactly one week early because I wasn't sure how I was going to be pregnant another week...or possibly two while I was still working! This is by far the best experience of my life......
I cannot describe the joy and depth of how wonderful it is to be a mother. I can't help but just stare at her. I'm obviously biased, but I think she is the most beautiful baby ever. She has quite a full head of brown/blonde hair and long eyelashes. It's amazing how you can love a new baby so much and totally fall in love all over again with your spouse. We kinda like her....

it's amazing how june in michigan can change from cool and rainy to sunny and 90 degree weather.....i'm not going to complain but wow, thank the Lord for air conditioning.
it's almost july now and i can hardly believe it. this also means only 25 more days until our due date. the nursery is complete, i have one last baby shower tonight, and then all we need is this baby to come!!! we are so excited and are starting to get a bit antsy. i'm 36 weeks so i really don't wish her to be born until at least another 2 weeks....but let's be honest, with this being the first baby i'll probably go past the due date in another 4 plus weeks....
the doc appt's are weekly now and the one yesterday DID sound promising. 1cm dilated and 70-80% effaced was a bit of a surprise since i technically have a month left in my pregnancy. who knows, the baby will come when she's good and ready i do feel relieved that by next tuesday i'm considered completely full term. she squirms all the time, has hiccups at least 2-3 times a day and the braxton hicks contractions have increased lately. cannot believe it's almost time to meet our little girl!!!
i'll have to stick pictures of the nursery up when i can. i should probably start getting the house ready for the baby shower extravaganza tonight....the nesting instinct is in full force! stay cool....looks like another couple of hot days!
